SCHOOL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Pupils should wear the regulation uniform as recommended by Rose School of Ballet.
2. Girl’s hair should be tied back in a ponytail or, preferably, a bun.
3. Parents should NOT remain in the studio. Open Lessons are held twice a year to watch your child dance.
4. In the event of illness, self -isolation or unavoidable absence, refunds cannot be paid. Alternative lessons can be attended where possible.
5. RAD exam entry replies and fees must be returned no later than the requested date: Rose School of Ballet are unable to pay exam fees on behalf of any student.
6. Lessons cancelled due to exceptional circumstances (i.e adverse weather, unavoidable commitments/appointments) cannot be refunded, however, if possible, we will try our best to reschedule or offer an alternative venue. (Force Majeure)
7. Lessons cancelled due to a positive Covid result or a teacher having to self- isolate cannot be refunded, however, if possible, we will try our best to reschedule or offer an online zoom class instead (Force Majeure).
8. Notice of a child’s withdrawal from lessons must be given in writing at least 5 weeks in advance
9. Pupils remain the responsibility of their parents/carers whilst waiting in the reception area. Rose School of Ballet can only be responsible for pupils taking part in dance lessons.
10. Parents must advise in person or in writing if their child is to be collected by someone other than themselves.
11. Rose School of Ballet cannot be held responsible for any property left unattended on the premises; unattended items are left at the risk of their owner.
12. We request that phones are not brought to class. In the event that phones are brought into a studio they must be switched off and in a bag. Phones are the sole responsibility of their owner. Rose School of Ballet cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to phones brought onto the premises.
13. Parents need to ensure that up-to-date contact details are available to Rose School of Ballet.
14. “Hands-On” Policy. Please be mindful that pupils need to be corrected physically in order to improve their dancing. We would therefore like to draw to your attention that RSB operates a “Hands-On” Policy. If you do not wish your child to be corrected in this way, please contact us immediately in writing.
15. Photography and Video Recordings. Photography and video recording of lessons is prohibited with the exception of during Open Classes. Permission is requested from parents in advance on these occasions. All parents must agree in order for this to take place. We ask that you do not use images of other children on any social networking websites or the internet.
